Why I Relay 4 Life

My primary reason for support relay for life is as you may or may not know I lost my grand father to his battle with cancer a few years back and followed by two aunts a few months later. That made really think about cancer and we can cure it. Cancer is one of those diseases that effects people no matter if their rich or poor . If their Black or white, we all know someone who has been impacted by cancer. For the past three years I’ve gotten involved with Relays all across the northwest suburbs. As you may know I’m a member of the Jaycees and they are heavy supporters of the American Cancer Society, especially the Relay For Life program. Please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society to keep the fight going for those we’ve lost in the battle of cancer.

Spring Consolidation

Ahh it’s the most wonderful time of the year, the sun is shining the grass is growing nice and green. It couldn’t be more picture perfect. I’m just relaxing at home outside with a miller lite and my laptop. I figure today was a great day to spend a little time cleaning up my network. My home is scanning for duplicate files across my network and when it’s done it will be time to dump some of those too. I figure now is a good time while I wait why don’t I import some more postings from back in the day when I use to have a livejournal account. Today I’m introducing just about 200 new posting from 2005 and 2006 and few from early 2008 that were posted to my old livejournal blog “The Wondering Mind Of GoGoRichie” I hope you enjoy them there quiet funny especial the ones written after coming home from the bar such as “How to block the mother hen attack” I know it’s one Jessica’s favorites.

Have You Seen The Healthy Network Light

I’m new to Windows Home Server, I just setup my box last Wednesday night and seem to running is much issues then I was expecting. First choppy video when I stream the ones I download through WHS & second and most important file corruption. Currently I’m have file corruption issues in four directories Music, Video, Software, and Public. The error in all directories are all the same “ the group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation” when I check the MSDN there’s no solutions identified that will work for me besides deleting the effected files because I’ve tried every other solution. Let me know what I can do to resolve theses issues.

South Park on Instant Watch

I’ve been a fan of the Netflix Instant Watch service for almost two years now. Then when they announced their partnership with Xbox 360 late last year I got my fiancée to become a fan of the service too. Once she realized that she could watch thousands of shows and movies instantly it was all good. Earlier this year they announced a partnership with Starz to bring some premium movies to the service. Right now were sitting with three movies out for the last two months still unwatched cause everything we have been watching is online Dog the bounty hunter, Weeds season 1 and now season 2 and so much more all watched via Instant Watch. This past Tuesday just like every new DVD Tuesday they released South Park Seasons 1 though 9 to the service.

Gold Membership

So I logged into the xbox 360 website for first time in a couple of months and noticed a little gold crown on my profile woo finally they show me respect I guess. The weird part is….. I’ve been a gold member for the last four years since I got my 360 and prior to that I was a just a regular paying member.

Broke another blackberry :( the solution given to me was 3 extra batteries to burn through a day
